James and Rebecca Palen, a husband-and-wife duo born and raised in Southeast Missouri, are coming home with something special: Fire and Blade Catering—a fresh, innovative culinary company inspired by their journey across the country and grounded in the values of their hometown.

For over a decade, James and Rebecca worked in some of the most exciting kitchens and renowned hospitality properties in the United States. Along the way, they explored a wide range of cuisines, mastered modern and traditional cooking techniques, and immersed themselves in diverse cultures. But no matter where they went, Southeast Missouri was always in their hearts.

Now, they're bringing all they’ve learned back home—not to change the flavor of the region, but to elevate it. With Fire and Blade, they’re combining their professional experience with a deep love for their roots to offer chef-driven, locally focused catering that brings bold flavor, seasonal ingredients, and unforgettable presentation to every event.
